My favorite place to eat in Libertyville! Kathy, the owner is so personal but their sandwiches are amazing. They also have fabulous catering that we have used for weddings.
Great food. Always fresh. And they have the best soups around. The staff are really nice.
I've been eating here for over 20 years now. The owners are wonderful and get to know you. The food is delicious and there is always a line (that moves quickly). They have a variety of sandwiches, salad, soups, and sides. There's something for everyone.
We used them to cater our wedding this summer and we could not be happier! Ivan was beyond helpful. Everything went smoothly and according to plan. The team was polite, friendly, helpful and excellent with clean up. Ivan helped us not only as the caterer but with the wedding in general ( giving us ideas, helping us plan the night out, ect.) as we were new to the whole experience. The food was fabulous, both in store and the catering. We can't count the number of people that raved about the food at our wedding. We couldn't have asked for a better experience with them; highly recommended.
Food is about an 8 on most days and most items. I am kind of a sandwich snob, so it's really hard to get a "10". Prices are reasonable, they expanded their dining area about 5-10 years ago, so it's a little less of a madhouse at lunch time. Still, very popular with the folks from Abbot labs, and Condell between 12-1. The service is a little lacking from 2-close. Expect to spend between $9-$15 for a filling, and usually tasty, sandwich.
